We received these awesome thank you cards from kids at the school near Toledo where we gave talks and led a bike ride in May. It was really nice for us to see that our project had an impact. Have you made any changes or become more aware of global warming since we gave a presentation or appeared in the media in your town? Let us know! We want to hear your stories.
Speaking of media, we have done quite well in the past month. The more conservative parts of America seem much more intrigued by our message on global warming. Crossing South Dakota and Wyoming, we have completed 6 newspaper interviews, 3 radio interviews, and 1 television interview. You can see them here.
In other news, we just spent two days at a summer art camp just outside Sheridan, WY. The Bauen Camp, which attracts teenagers from around the country, sits on the side of the Big Horn Mountains in a spectacular setting. We used our time to have an extended conversation with the students about global warming. (We also just received an email from them saying that, after we left, they did a dramatic interpretation of global warming in the form of a play).
Someone just told us about your website. Wow! Very cool. We are a family of 4 (two parents and two sons, 9&13yrs.old) and we are riding the transamerica route from SF to DC to deliver a petition (gathering signatures along the way) to our congressional reps to decrease global warming.

That is awesome that the art camp kids made a play. I hope they can take it home and perform it there also. I witnessed some video footage of artistic presentations of (of all things) college chemistry final projects. This was at a high-powered arts liberal arts college. The chemistry students were expected to do their final project in their particular discipline (dance, music, film, etc.) I remember a ballet of Romeo & Juliet done for two chemicals on the periodic table (chemicals which couldn’t combine because of their chemical properties). I saw the videos about 10-12 years ago and they are still with me.
I’m glad to hear that your message is getting out there. What a creative way to make a difference. (and being from Madison I loved the footage of your ride with Mayor Dave–yes, we really call him that–as well as the brewskis on the Union Terrace–a great place in the summer–and the ode to the Madison bike trails)
