Mayor Dave (he goes by his first name) met us on our first day in Madison, Wisconsin, and went for a short bike ride. The mayor is doing excellent work to reduce Madison’s greenhouse gas emissions. Click on the video below to watch!

Did you try to pronounce Mayor Dave’s last name? It only took a few months of being called “Mayor Swizzlestick” and “Mayor Cheesewhiz” for him to be officially first-name-only. Um. Anyways, the intelligent & relevant part of my comment is this: Madison rocks! All right. There isn’t really an intelligent and relevant part. But the mayor really does ride his bike everywhere. Sometimes I see him on his way to work. He lives on my same street.
The video that the Isthmus has is almost entirely set on my two favorite bike rides on my one favorite bike path, and even a community garden I totally weeded on Saturday, which somehow makes me feel famous. I don’t know why. I also don’t know why I’m leaving this long a comment.
