		<description>David,
I am in the process of applying for a $15,000 photography grant and I am working on a proposal for a photography assignment somewhere in the world where I can use my photography skills to bring attention to an economic or social issue. I am interested in bringing attention to the water issues (global warming) in Peru and I read about your travels there. I was wondering if you could point me to a more specific place in Peru where I can focus my efforts. A specific town, village, or people? I want to create a website for that specific place and document it photographically, as well with locals stories, and then return to that place 10-20 years from now to do an update on the changes. Any help you can provide would be much appreciated.

		<description>David, great meeting you today for a &#039;cheap&#039;n&#039;choosy&#039; cyclist&#039;s breakfast.

Here&#039;s the full montymedia of our morning on the Bike Friday website, including movie:

http://www.bikefriday.com/rideforclimate/02

Hope you get to visit our tikit dealer in Copenhagen - the Danish Cyclists Federation http://www.bikefriday.com/dealers/dansk

What gives me hope? Small wheeled folding bikes - fun and useful whether going fast or slow.
A car is only fun when it&#039;s going fast. All the more reason to ride. And hey, you can get your leg over a folder when you&#039;re 64, 74, 84, 94 ...

Burn carbs, not hydrocarbs!

		<description>I&#039;ve been a tree hugger most of my 72 years. I&#039;m surprised it&#039;s taken so long for this movement to actually get started. I guess it&#039;s our youth who see this problem more clearly. It&#039;s going to be them who hold our world leaders feet to the fire and make positive things occur.

		<description>Congrats on your dream cause David! Now before anyone tries to wag a finger on your carbon emissions from flying as someone invariably will, I&#039;ll beat them to it and reveal that you&#039;ve got a folding bike in your suitcase for getting around Copenhagen - and a borrowed one at that ... your dad&#039;s! (and we still don&#039;t know his real name other than it&#039;s Pops).

So now that Pops has given you the &#039;keys to his Bike Friday&#039; for the week, some 20,000+ Friday folk will be hanging over their handlebars awaiting your tales.

Here&#039;s our piece about you:

http://community.bikefriday.com/rideforclimate

I&#039;ve encouraged them to answer your question:

&quot;What gives you hope that we can solve global warming?&quot;

My biased answer - personal, human-powered transportation - a smaller tireprint all round.

Thanks for being a big part of the Bike Friday Expanded Mission http://www.bikefriday.com/mission
